Death Canyon

I had the esteemed privelage of shooting a feature-length film in one day with Fade-IN pictures. Yesterday from 5:30am to 3:00am today we shot hours of footage and the result should be a very entertaining film.

The style of this project is completely hand-held on HD camcorders. The results are somewhere between a home video and a thriller ala-Blair Witch. Also the dialogue between the players was improvised with the plot line as the guide.

In the end I see this as a very artsy and unique show. The players were great and there is huge potential for this idea. Often times, thriller-type films don't invest enough time on character development and skip to the gore too quickly - not so in this circumstane. Hopefully, there is a stronger sense of realism than you will find in other places.

My character is a mechanic and is one of three guys and three girls who head out to the middle of nowhere to do some gold mining and bond as friends - in the end the canyon lives up to it's name.

I had a great time, this show was great fun!
